Rainy meh
There's a theory which I have always ascribed to, that if one spends a certain amount of time out in the rain, one will eventually reach saturation point-that remarkable point beyond which you can't get any wetter anyway so why worry?
The difficulty (I have discovered) is ascertaining exactly when that point is - because tonight, standing in the rain, waiting for a bus, I thought I had reached this nirvanic state a number of times...only to discover that not only were my jeans capable of retaining more water, but also that my jacket would eventually soak through and wet elbows would become a hideous reality.
I maintain it ruined my blissful state of yogic peacefulness (otherwise known as exhaustion)
However it does make you appreciate the little things-like electric showers...and electric kettles...and...electric laptops....yes....
And duvetts mmmm
If there were electric duvetts I think I'd leave my room even less than I do ;)

Hmmm, ordinary duvets are okay if you have electric hairdryers. You have to be careful not to start a fire of course but all that warm air is a guaranteed way to be snug as a bug in a rug within 2 minutes.
Wow, I'm impressed - the For Ruth blog is taking shape (only a couple of years later) and I'm loving it :-)
When do we get to go for beverages? I miss you!!!!!!!
