Mikados

Are they way pinker than they used to be? Or were they always this pink? Or did I buy a weird tainted batch?

City living isn't for me...

I just saw a lady help her (roughly) 3 year old boy pee down the storm grating at the side of my street

Things I have discovered since Christmas

1) 1001 stain remover really does get wine out of carpet
2) Amsterdam rocks
3) Family weddings are great, particularly when your family's slightly insane
4) Elder siblings getting older implies that one is also aging oneself (shock horror!)
5) Cold pizza is a valid brunch material, particularly if it's meat pizza
6) Sleeping in never gets old

I think 6 things in 6 weeks is an acceptable learning curve...

Froodie's secret identity

Froodie is superwoman.
I know this FOR FACT 'cause she drove me to Dublin at 4a.m. this morning when my absentee co-habitee got a message to say that the house alarm was going off and could we make it stop before people's ears started bleeding (a neighbour since told me it was going since 5am yesterday...:( )
All is well and the alarm was just being unnecessarily...alarmist... Sighs of relief all round - also I would like more sleep :)

Seamie and I decided...

..that the best way to pimp one's crib would be to blu-tack tin foil to the ceiling.

Stuffs :)

I finished at my company - which wasn't as sad as I thought. I think I still feel like I'm on holidays and not actually finished...It will hit me in a week or two I guess :)
I worked with the best people so now I have to make sure I stay in touch!

Also I have lots of work to do for the next two weeks at least and after that we'll see...hopefully business will continue as it has been and I can afford eats and drinks and being merry kinda things.

I did the being merry thing last night by attending an 80s night with 2 of my besty friends - I think at most there were 15 people on the floor - I don't mean the dance floor...I mean the entire floor of the club :) I danced in what I like to think of as a Blades of Glory peacock style but I'm very much afraid I wasn't quite up to that standard..the others were, of course, as beautiful as only balletic swans dancing to 80s music can be.

Simile of the day: If 80s cheese were an oil slick, we would have needed Greenpeace.

And now to work at home kinda work.. :) What fun!
